Operator l: Grade 9, $18.99 - $25.56: Must be high school graduate or GED certified, must have Class A / B CDL with first six months of hire. Must have knowledge of operation and maintenance of 10 wheeled trucks and knowledge of safety operational procedures. Must be able to work around traffic.
Operator ll: Grade 11, $20.89 - $29.23: Must be high school graduate or GED certified, must have 2,500 hours or 3 years experience in operation of heavy equipment. Must have Class A / B CDL. Must have forklift, flagger and traffic control certifications. Must have 500 hours or equivalent of commercial snowplowing experience. Previous sweeper truck operations preferred.

Description: |
Under the direction of the Streets Field Supervisor, is a member of a work crew in street construction, maintenance, cleaning, and snow removal duties. |

Duties: |
? Operates sweeper truck, front-end loader, bobcat, roller, back-hoe, forklift, dump and service trucks, and other motorized equipment as needed. ? Works as a crew member, assisting in the operation of: a. Daily sweeping maintenance and operations b. Planning and scheduling sweeping routes c. Cleans and maintains storm drain collection facilities ? Spraying and mowing weeds, and cleans out gutters and storm drain inlets. ? Assists in painting projects: a. Striping roads and parking lots b. Painting crosswalks, curbs, no parking zones, directional arrows, etc. ? Practices appropriate safety procedures and traffic control. ? Installs and maintains traffic control signs as required by the Uniform Manual on Traffic Control Devices. ? Works as a crew member assisting in the installation and maintenance of: a. Streets and roadways b. Sidewalks, curb, and gutter c. Storm drain collection facilities d. Mowing and shouldering operations e. Snow and ice removal f. Signs and painting ? Assists in flood control measures. ? Performs emergency assistance as needed. ? Be available to work on-call as scheduled. All other duties as assigned. |

Qualifications: |
Must be a high school graduate or GED certificate. Must obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License within first six months after hire. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Must have knowledge of operation and maintenance of 10 wheeled trucks. Must have knowledge of necessary safety operational procedures. Must be able to work around traffic. Must have the ability to work in a team. Must be able to deal well with the public and have a strong work ethic. |

Must be able to lift heavy loads, up to 100 pounds. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather. Must be physically fit enough to perform job functions, with the ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, walk, sit, climb, etc. |
